October Sun Galette
Next, I added apple juice concentrate in place of sugar. Why? Since this is a fruit dessert, the apple flavour is a nice complement to the plums. Now gently fold up the sides of the pastry and crimp together. Sprinkle with cinnamon and a bit of sugar on the pastry.
Now as you can see, my pastry folding skills are not amazing, but as long as its a mostly even thickness all around, you’ll be fine. Add a pat of butter on top and place in a 180C oven for about 30 minutes or until the pastry is golden and the fruit is bubbling.
Top with whipped cream or ice cream.
Note: You may have some extra juices that escape from the tart, and if that bothers you just mix the plums at the start with a little corn flour.
