Meatball ‘Man’wich

Here’s a recipe for that package of mince that you don’t know what to do with. Its an easy weeknight dinner. Combine meat with worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic, egg, salt and pepper. Roll into 1 inch balls, such as this….

Place on a baking sheet covered with foil, and put in the oven at about 200C for 25-30 minutes.  While the meatballs are roasting, put the onions in a small pan with a little olive oil on low, and let sauté for about 10-15 minutes, adding balsamic halfway through. You will want to add a bit of water as well just to keep them from getting too sticky or burning.

Once the meatballs are done, remove from oven. Split rolls and add cheese slices to each side. Place in hot oven and toast for about 5 minutes.  Then, cut meatballs in half, and add 3-4 to each sandwich, and onions, and scarf it! Just kidding, eat it slowly…I dare you.

For Meatballs:

1 package(about .5kg) of mince(beef, kangaroo, lamb, or combo)

3tbl worcestershire sauce

1 egg

1tsp onion powder

1 clove garlic, diced

For Caramelized Onions:

½ brown or red onion, thinly sliced

1tbl balsamic vinegar

2tbl water

Sandwich rolls

Tasty(white cheddar) cheese(optional)
